Awakening series: Anna’s story

We asked a few friends of ours to share their stories on awakening. Here’s what Anna replied with:
“I don’t know when it started. It’s been at least five years. It was a gradual shift. Like an onion. Peeling layers. Slowly, different things came in. Acting classes. Therapy. Meditation. Guidance through psychic readings. People and literature. All coming in divine timing. Variety of energetic clearing sessions. Family constellations. Rituals discovered from witches and earth women. Plant medicine. Women circles. Shamanic drum sessions. Sound baths. Lots of staring at the sea. Dance. Eventually, my own ways through intention, art, connecting higher.
Where am I now with it? I FEEL it. It just is. I know myself better. I can sense the field better. I feel clearer. Not perfect. But so much purer. Not always happy. But seeing both the shadow and the light and recognizing which is which more often than not. In fact, embracing multidimensionality – things don’t look as black and white. I am much more curious, much more playful with it, life as is.
Perhaps the trauma I experienced as a child and teen were those shake-ups. Where does it start? When the trigger happens or when we try to recover from it? I don’t suggest everyone follows my path. This is personal. This is what was always meant for me.
The journey, not the destination. “Awakening” can mean so many things to so many different souls and bodies. And isn’t that beautiful? How varied this life is here on Earth. All we need is to try our best to love the journey and those we meet along the way. I am grateful for all of it. We’re only here for a fleeting moment.”
And what does awakening mean to you?
